About me:
Eric Soler is a Nuyorican (Puerto Rican born and raised in New York) soul brother who likes to say that he knows a bit about fashion and the arts as well as how to entertain! He organizes hosts and promotes parties at nightclubs, lounges and bars all over New York City. For more on his events go to: www.eriandluck.com Eric has done weekly nightlife events, hosted celebrity birthday parties, product focus groups within the nightclub area such as liquor brands and facilitated tasting events as well. His events are so diverse as far as what you see in the room from every possible aspect. The crowd you see will be multiculturally mixed, the music runs every genre from hip-hop to rock to world music and basically the demographics of his clientele run the gamut. What sets Eric apart from the many promoters in NYC is his hosting skills and knowing his clientele as well as the connections he has obtained over the many years in the business. He also takes a marketing approach to his work all while making it seem so personal and not so much relaying on only the internet to promote. Having a personal network of friends that come to support him is unheard of in the business of nightlife promotion. Currently he is hosting events at NYC’s hottest venues. He was instrumental in some of the legendary events in the past few years such as Industry Mondays at Lot 61, Derek Jeter’s birthday party at the World one year, and N’Sync at One51 during their first album that helped him make a name for himself, Tuesdays at Suite 16 and one of the first to really rock at Guastavino’s. The list of venues goes on and on. He started going out to clubs at 16 years of age going to such places as the Tunnel and still wonders how he got in to this day. He thinks Susanne Bartsch (host/door person) had sympathy for him. Coming from the last true hay-day of NYC nightclubs in the early 90’s and going to clubs like Mars, Red Zone, MK’s, Nell’s and much more filled his taste buds for today’s parties. Still trying to apply some of the rules he learned way back then! Knowing that was then and this is now is the only struggle. Growing up between the Bronx, Queens and various parts of Long Island in the summers paved the way for this diverse character. With the fast pace learning while growing up with older cousins helped to experience things at early stages in life. Joining the United States Army at the age of seventeen brought the needed discipline to this wild party guy. After serving 2 years in the military he went on to work for a not-for-profit organization that taught social workers Independent Living Skills for youth. He worked his way up from the mailroom and ancillary services to Program Coordinator and LAN Administrator, with self teachings of computer knowledge by trial and error as well as manual readings and life experience. After 6 years he moved on with sites on the corporate world, landing a job at the top rated brokerage research firm as a Technician. There he worked his way from helpdesk support to third level support from backend servers all the way to end user services as well as all in between. All along the way maintained a love of nightclubs and here and there hosted events until giving up the day job to work fulltime as an event coordinator/host/promoter. Now days he holds down some of NYC’s trendy/urban events with one of the most organized, diverse and hottest team of promoters. His ultimate goal is to know as many people in my life as he can. He is a social person to say the least. He has always liked meeting new people his entire life. He’s looking to know all kinds of people.
