About me:

For more info, visit www.kwmiller.com

Born in southern Indiana, K.W. grew up on a hobby farm milking cows, weeding gardens and catching fireflies with his seven brothers and sisters. He made his first television appearance at the age of 5 on T Bar V, a local television show starring Randy Atcher & Cactus Tom Brooks. The “bug” immediately bit him when he was pulled from the audience to accompany Randy by playing the triangle. His first stage performance soon followed at the age of 6, singing “Up On The Housetop” with his cousin Mary Lynne at the local Christmas revue.

And that was just the beginning.

K.W. had already traveled the US and Europe as a seasoned performer by the time he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wright State University with a BFA in both Drama and Dance. He then moved to New York and booked a tour of BABES IN TOYLAND. A long string of theatrical engagements ensued including EQUUS, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, ROMEO & JULIET, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, PVT. WARS, as well as the Broadway National tours of CATS and PETER PAN (starring Cathy Rigby). He was recently seen in the National Broadway Tour of WICKED, and previously starred in the world premiere of THE BASEMENT, a one-act he co-wrote and co-produced to critical acclaim in Los Angeles.

Continually active in film and TV as well, K.W. can currently be seen as the antagonist, Skipper, in the feature film A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NIGHTS, an Official Selection of the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival. He also starred in BACKGAMMON, which premiered at The Cannes Film Festival and garnered a BEST FEATURE FILM Award at the New York International Independent Film Festival. Other career highlights include roles in GYPSY (starring Bette Midler), the animated CGI feature film SINBAD: Beyond The Veil of Mists, appearances on Nickelodeon's THE AMANDA SHOW and ALL THAT, GENERAL HOSPITAL, AUTUMN DANCE, HARVEST HOMECOMING and numerous commercials. In addition, his vocal talents have been used on several soundtracks, as well as providing many voices for various LeapFrog, Disney and Nickelodeon productions. He is currently in pre-production on three feature films (including a documentary on global climate change) and an animated series, as well as getting ready to shop two of his own screenplays.

Inspired by Charlie Chaplin, Gene Kelly and James Cagney, K.W.’s journey in the performing arts has been both broad and diverse. He is often called a true “triple threat”, and it is a surprise to many to learn that he is an accomplished classical pianist as well.

K.W. approaches each new endeavor like a newly unfurled crocus; absolutely receptive and open to all life has to offer. He always credits his success to “constant family support and the most incredible mentors”, and jumps on every opportunity to “give back” by guest teaching at colleges and high schools across the nation. Still a country boy at heart, K.W. supports environmental and animal welfare issues, and spends whatever spare time he can find working in his home garden and playing with his two “rescued” dogs. Plus, having a mentally handicapped sister and a father who was paralyzed in an automobile accident have made him an avid supporter for the rights of the handicapped.

“A top-notch actor with what he can do both on and off the screen. On it, he brings you his all every single moment and is very giving with his fellow actors. He always comes to the set totally prepared. But it's what he does off the screen that makes him a truly special actor. He slaves over his scripts, putting every ounce of energy and thought into every line, every gesture, what is said and not said. He is truly versatile and can be cast as just about anything. He's that good - a true professional… and a pleasure to work with.”
Vaughn Verdi, Director, A COUPLE OF DAYS AND NIGHTS
