"Now that Tunde is free from the constraints of a group, he has admittedly come into his own. Yet despite the staggering success of The Lighthouse Family, Tunde stumbled into music almost entirely by accident. He left Nigeria for the UK at 19, hoping to study at university. As a young, eager immigrant, Tunde took whatever job he could find, cleaning offices and then working within the same bank that refused to open him an account (England’s government had accepted this African, but not everyone had read the memo). Friends forced Tunde into expressing his voice and sent recordings to a local radio station, as well as some recording labels, without him knowing.

since the POLITICS cd re-release never happened i found a source on the internet who has turned the POLITICS vinyl LP into mp3 files. i got them recently including the song CUT IT from the Breakin Soundtrack. it is SO nice to have these on CD now!!!

Hi, Bryan! Despite the delays, the re-release of "The Politics of Dancing" on CD is still happening -- soon -- so, please hang in there just a little while longer! Yes, there are unauthorised copies to be found on the Web; however, not only do these not benefit the band members who have put in many, many months -- years, in fact -- of hard work on this CD box set, but the quality of the new masters will be far superior to anything you could find online. And, there will materials and songs included which will not be available anywhere else or in any other form. Keep checking the blogs on the official profiles here on MySpace and/or on Facebook for the latest updates from the band -- the most recent is dated 2010.05.20.
