Bio
"China Mountain" is available to buy now on the MUSIC page at www.trespasserswilliam.com. Also available as a digital album from Silber Records. .. .. Lotte Kestner is the solo project of Anna-Lynne Williams of Trespassers William. .. .. China Mountain (named after a mountain range in southern Oregon) was recorded over a year in her basement bedroom, and mixed in a Seattle studio with Trespassers bandmate Matt Brown. Most of the songs are built around acoustic guitar and several tracks of voice, and a bit of harmonica, keys, drums, ukulele, and harp. She was assisted on a few songs by friends - including Jeff Martin of Idaho on two of the album's tracks. .. .. Her most recent collaboration is with Robert Gomez and is called Ormonde. Recorded in Marfa, TX in 2009, hopefully the album will be available soon... .... Past collaborations include work with: Chemical Brothers, John Grant, Minotaur Shock, Phononoir, Buddy, Leaves, AFI, Au Revoir Borealis, Anomie Belle, Motopony, Fieldhead, Autumn Chorus, Josh Morrison, Terri Tarantula, Joe Fraley... .. .. "It's like the Little Match Girl instead sold all of her matches and bought a guitar." .. .. - {Sic} Magazine .. .. "In the vein of My Bloody Valentine, Jolie Holland, and perhaps even Codeine, those remarkable shoe-gazers that were part of Sub Pop's early catalog. Williams' music is moody, inward, and her lyrics are wonderfully unpredictable." .... - Seattle Post-Intelligencer .... "Even though it doesn't matter what she's singing--the mood translates well through melody and instrumentation--it's lucky for the listener that the lyrics are included in the CD booklet. The sheer poetry of the songs is remarkable." .... - Seattle Sound .... contact here with questions about purchasing the album or b-sides: teaandcake48@hotmail.com -
