Ari David created the hard rock group Static 13 in the late '90s and released two indie label records, collaborating with industry veterans Josh Abbey (Bob Dylan, Aerosmith), Neil Jason (John Lennon, Dire Straits), and John McCurry. Static 13 songs garnered radio airplay and press nationwide. Collaborating with producer Howie Beno (Ministry, Chili Peppers) and co-writing with John McCurry (Billy Joel, Julian Lennon), Ari released a solo debut entitled Transition in 2002. More recently, Ari teamed up with Cristina Cruz as a songwriting partner and started performing periodically to test out their new songs. The much more pop style writing that Cristina brings to the table has widened the listener base beyond those that followed Static 13. With the enjoyment of performing together and positive audience response, they decided to be both a songwriting team and performing artists. They are currently working on the debut 2007 release.
