"The Pied Piper" . . . This is me (on left with flute and harmonica) and Steve Duboff, performing as The Changin' Times in 1965. Steve and I co-wrote this song. Our version cracked the Top 100 on Billboard and Cash Box, but Crispian St. Peters had a number 4 smash with our song in 1966:

 

"How Is the Air Up There?" . . . Me again with Steve Duboff, as The Changin' Times in 1965. The La De Das released this Kornfeld-Duboff song as a single. It reached number 4 on the New Zealand pop charts in May 1966. It was later covered by The Bangles, who released the song on their debut EP in 1982:

"This is really beautiful, man . . . You know, you have to realize the turnaround that I've gone through in the last three days . . . And look just to see . . . just to really realize what's really important . . . What's really important? The fact that if we can't all live together and be happy. If you have to be afraid to walk out in the street. If you have to be afraid to smile at somebody, right? . . . What kind of a way is that to go through this life?"
