Singer/actress <b>Ashley Argota's</b> voice has been described in so many ways, from powerful, to captivating this teen has been blessed with a multitude of talents that most people only dream of. Best known for her role as the fun loving sidekick Lulu on Nickelodeon's hit series <b>"True Jackson, VP"</b> (Saturdays at 8:30pm ET/PT), Ashley is currendly making an underground name for herself on YouTube as a pop singer! Her debut CD, <b>Ashley</b>, is available on iTunes. Her song, "Dreams Come True", from producer Brandon Jarrett, is a YouTube fan favorite. You can check it out at www.youtube.com/ashargota. Ashley is currently in the studio working on her next album. Born in Redlands, CA, Ashley had her first audition at the tender age of nine where she wowed at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York during one of their amateur night contests where she beat out over 200 aspiring entertainers. At that moment, her career was launched and she was immediately asked to appear on the hit show, <b>"Showtime at the Apollo"</b> as the Star of Tomorrow. After that, Ashley was on a roll and she landed the lead role in the stage production of <b>"The Lion King"</b> where she traveled with fellow cast members around the country performing to sell-out audiences and standing ovations. Ashley was also a crowd favorite on the TV show <b>"Star Search 2003"</b> hosted by comedian Arsenio Hall. Ashley stole the show and was praised for having such a commanding stage performance for someone so young. She went on to place second in the semi-finals. From there, she went on to showcase her singing abilities in such plays as American Girl and Carousel. When Ashley isn't acting or singing, she is engulfed in her education and loves school. She is an honor student and excels in math and writing and she recently got accepted to New York University. In addition to being invited to sing at several conventions and prestigious charity events across the country, Ashley donates her time to several charities that help disadvantaged youth, including <i>Ronald McDonald House</i> and the <i>Starlight Children's Foundation</i>. In 2009, Ashley brought the Staples Center to their feet at a recent Lakers game with her amazing rendition of the National Anthem. Check out the video on this page!
