I know it doesn't sound very humble, but I think I've become mature as an artist. I'm writing songs about what I'm living for or what I've lived. I'm singing stronger, with better melodies and more soulful phrasing than I ever have. What it amounts to is being myself. And the thing about me is, no matter what the music may sound like, anything I do is always going to be Country, because I'm Country to the core. I wanted it to be real and emotional and to reflect aspects of my life and my family's life right at this moment. And I wanted it to sound big. Say what you will about the blending of Country and rock 'n' roll, but I love it. I wanted it, but without any compromises in the music. I wanted the Country songs to be stone Country and the rock songs to really rock. So check out www.backtotennessee.com to preview all the brand new songs. After, download the entire album at www.itunes.com/billyraycyrus.

As a past ambassador of Lee National Denim Day, I'm excited to continue my support of this worthwhile cause. Please join me and thousands of others across the country by wearing jeans and donating $5 on October 3rd. It's a small gesture that adds up to millions of dollars for those suffering from breast cancer or those who may someday be faced with the disease. Thanks for your support.
