Bio:

BJÖRN J:SON LINDH, the fantastic flautist, pianist, composer and artist , was born in Arvika, Värmland in Sweden. He was a student at Ingesund University College of Music in Arvika where he majored in piano and flute. He continued studying at Musikhögskolan(The royal School of Music) in Stockholm in the mid-late 60`s.After that he began playing free-form jazz with Nils Sandström and arabic flute music with Abd El Rahman El Khatib. His music is also influensed by indian music, avantgarde, jazz, pop et.c In the late 60`s early 70`s he was a member Atlantic Ocean and Jason`s Fleece and many different jazz and pop constallations and worked as a studiomusician.He has also arranged and produced tracks and records for many great musicians in the past and present. One important step was the collaboration with the famous swedish guitarplayer Janne Schaffer, when they formed the group "Hörselmat"(Earmeal) and now,30 years later, this collaboration still results in wonderful concerts and recordings.They have for ex. arranged the music for the Dolphine Show at Kolmården zoo,Sweden. Björn J:son Lindh can be heard on albums with Ablution, Atlantic Ocean, Baltik, Bernt Staf, Handgjort, Hawkey Fransen, Isildurs Bane, Janne Schaffer, Jason`s Fleece, John Holm, Lena Granhagen, Merit Hemmingson,Monica Törnell, Ola Magnell, Peter Lundblad, Rolf Wikström, Sam Ellison, Tommy Broman, Triangulus, Tribute, Turid etc........ He has also worked with musicians such as Lee Ritenour, Lill Lindfors, Ted Gärdestad, ABBA, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Mike Oldfield etc.... Between 1983-86 he composed and recorded 3 suites,"Spirit of Europa" with the pianist S.Scheja in which they won a Grammy award 1986. He has also composed music for radio, theatre, Tv and film for example "Niklas&Figuren","En enkel melodi","Lejonet&Jungfrun","Mannen på taket" to name a few. This biogrophy could be much longer, Björn J:son Lindh is a fantastic musician who has been so very productive ( and still is! ) with so many other musicians and so many different kinds of music in so many different ways.
