About me:
Raised in Harlem N.Y, Black Reign grew up watching Hustlers become millionaires before they were 16. In an environment where "either you slinging crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot." Black Reign chose to carve his own path. Rapping by the age of nine, Black Reign became one of the best rappers in his peer group. Building his reputation rocking block parties and street corners, he was destined for the rap game. Everywhere there was rap, you saw Reign. As he continued rapping, Black Reign started focusing his energy on the streets. Unfortunately, under the influence of the streets life, Reign was eventually consumed. The stick up game prevailed the rap game. In and out of jail, Black Reign eventually found him self stuck, serving an eight year sentence for multiple crimes included assault, weapon possession, and robbery. He served time in different facilities such as Clinton, Attica, Auburn, Comstock, sing Sing, Elmira etc. After returning home, he chose to open another lane up besides rapping. Black Reign discovered another hustle, acting. He appeared on Law & order, Oz, and The West Wing. After surviving the streets as well as prison, Black Reign spits lyrics that only experience can provide "I spit it how I live it." He goes on to say " It ain't much I haven't seen, from being shot up, to shooting someone up, I've done it all." Appearing on numerous mix tapes, Black Reign has kept the industry on its toes. In 2006, Black Reign released a now street classic mix CD "STRAIGHT TO THE TOP" In2007, Black Reign hit the road with GINO GREEN GLOBAL on a two month tour across the country. The tour included rappers such as Young Buck, Lil Flip, Slim Thug, and Big Tigger. Black Reign was also featured in the 2007 issue # 29, of Don Diva Magazine. When asked about his influences, Black Reign always gives credit to Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Big L (RIP) and 2Pac (RIP). "They gave me the tools I needed to stay sharp." I'm giving my life on wax from the streets to the cell: I'm giving you the truth." Like I said my life is like a book I put in rhymes.
