Country superstar Clint Black was listed among names of the Hollywood elite when his song "A Better Life" made the shortlist for the Original Song category for the 83rd Academy Awards®. Multi-award-winning Black, who co-wrote "A Better Life" with Rhen Boyer and contributed the track for inclusion in the inspiring 2010 documentary Unbeaten. "A Better Life" is now available for download at iTunes.
"A Better Life," is an upbeat tale with a message of never giving up or settling for second best-perfect for the awe-inspiring accomplishments of the paralyzed wheelchair athletes in the film.
Unbeaten, the Polaris Global Media feature documentary, is an inspirational true story that chronicles the exploits of 31 paraplegics, as they make their way over six days in wheelchairs and hand cycles in what is known as the toughest road race in the world, "Sadler's Alaska Challenge." The course winds 267 miles though the mountain passes of Denali National Park between Fairbanks and Anchorage, rising over 10,000 feet in elevation throughout the race.
