  • ON THE ROAD!!!

    Hey friends!

    Just wanted to drop you a quick note from Houston, TX.  We're down here playing a couple of shows on our first EE tour of 2010!  We're out for a couple weeks playing at colleges.  Hannah's minivan is serving as our tour bus, and we've dubbed her "Rita".  I think it's a pretty good name.  

    This is our first tour!  We're learning lots and having a blast doing it.  So far it's been a lot of driving, eating, and laughing, and a little music here and there.  

    We're coming to a city near you.  Soon.  Watch for us.  Seriously, we've got lots of shows in the works, all over this great land I like to call the U S and A.  So far, we have shows booked in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia. And it's only January!

    This is the first of many blogs to come on our 2010 tour.  We'll keep you posted on cool places we go and the funny stuff that is sure to happen along the way.  I've gotta get some sleep, talk to you soon!

  • UPDATE/NEW SONGS POSTED!!!!

    Hello dear friends!!!

    HB (Hannah Blaylock) here just saying hello for an amazingly exciting update! Why you say it is so amazingly exciting?!?!?!? Well..... I'll tell you  (haha this smiley face is totally Columbian)

    1. WE HAVE POSTED MUSIC ON OUR MYSPACE! 
    Finally we have fully recorded music up to share with you guys! I am so excited about that! We are in and out of the studio and still working on even more songs so there's more where that came from. 
    Unfortunately the free download on our website, edensedgetheband.com, has temporarily not been working. We are trying to fix that right now for you guys. You know how all the electronic fansy smansy stuff goes. It can get confusing. But that will be up and running ASAP I assure you!

    2. THE STONE MOUNTAIN/LABOR DAY SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!
    Thanks to EVERYONE who came and shared a huge success with us. We had a great time playing at the park and are very thankful to SMP and the Herschend family for giving us the opportunity.  We have posted pictures on our Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/edensedge) of the show. If your not our friend already, YOU SHOULD BE!!!!!

    3. THERE ARE FUN TIMES AHEAD
    Lots of really fun stuff coming up that we would love to have you guys be a part of. We will continue to play at Mad Donnas here in our own friendly neighborhood of East Nashville. Also, we have and will continue to book shows all over the country at your local colleges so keep your eyes peeled for us possibly playing near you! 
    Also, our manager and legendary songwriter, Kye Fleming, is being inducted into the NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Hall of Fame! WHAT?!?!?!?! It is truly an honor to know her much less have her as our Nashville mom and amazing manager! We are truly blessed. To make things even more excited Edens Edge is getting to sing a 5 song medley of some of Kye's top hit songs at the award show! We are totally stoked! We will definitely be sharing this experience with you through video, twitter, facebook, etc. 


    So that's what is happening in the EE world. We love and appreciate you guys so much! We look forward to seeing you jamming with us at a show soon.

  • mailing list!

    Hello friends!

    Just wanted to let you know we now have a place to sign up for our mailing list on our myspace and facebook pages! We're in the studio right now (when is say right now I mean Hannah is literally standing in front of a mic, ha!) working on some new tracks that we hope to have out and about in the next couple of months. We're also currently booking some shows for the Fall and Spring, so keep checking to see if we're somewhere near you so you can come hang and listen!

  • banjos are our friends...

    Hello friends!

    So I'm sitting at work obviously avoiding working...:) This is what I do! I thought I'd take a lil' break and fill you in on my most recent lil' item of joy. So when I was a kid I played in a bluegrass band with my family and we didn't have a lot of money, but I realllllly wanted to play the banjo (thank you Alison Brown/Ron Block). So my dad and I built one with all of these spare parts he either had and/or traded around for. It was great for learning on at the time but has needed some work. I'm really excited. I sent my banjo off to a friend/banjo builder here in Nashville to get tweaked and within a couple of days I got it back. It's like a whole new toy! Lets just say the tweak became an overhaul because he's AWESOME! I'm sooo BLESSED! I can't put it down...I probably haven't "really" played it in 10 years or something... Needless to say...i can't put it down these days. It's becoming a bit of an obsession. Probably driving Dean and Hannah crazy, but lets look on the bright side... this could be a new Edens Edge element. We have lots of ideas for some of our new songs.

    We're all working really hard on new material and hope to have something for you guys to hear very soon. Please continue to keep us in your prayers!
