The love for hip hop has birthed a sexy yet classy, hard yet soft, talented yet modest, fly yet grounded, blessed yet humble, smooth yet a diamond in the rough, a beauty yet a beast in her craft, the one and only *Diamond White* Kansas City, MO born and Houston, TX raised, Diamond White was a little girl that had BIG dreams. From singing and dancing in the mirror to putting on a concert for everyone who visited her childhood home you could find this rising star demanding attention and quickly developing her love for performing. She began singing as early as she can remember talking and began writing and rapping at the tender age of 10 years old. Impressed by her being so cute, young and a female who could rap she captured the attention of several high school students who quickly fell in love with her. They took her to high school and college parties where they would put her on the mike to woo… the crowd and to battle rap grown men. From there she began recording which would lead to her being in a duo rap group with a guy who was obviously older than she was considering he was about to be a high school graduate and little Ms. Diamond was still finding it appealing to play with her dolls and climb trees with her friends. Despite her young age when they first heard that confident and raspy voice lace the track they knew she was definitely talented and destined for stardom. Their chemistry in the booth was incredible and her skills were undeniable. Things were starting to look promising as the situation began to progress until the other half of the duo group was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison. Devastated by the lost of a friend more looked at like a big brother this young, talented rising star was determined to keep striving. Although the road would get harder for a young female trying to solely break into a male dominated industry and keep her morals, value, and self respect that alone became an obstacle in itself to overcome. As she became a feature and a ghost writer she went on to open up for several mainstream artist such as L.L Cool J, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent just to name a few. And in addition to that, she was presented with opportunities that some would say comes only once in a life time. She was offered contracts with 2 major labels that will remain nameless per Diamond White’s request due to her professionalism to never burn bridges. Never forgetting the many hardships and tribulations this young jewel had to endure she never lost sight of the things her mother instilled in her since birth and held on to her faith in GOD. Print, commercial, promotional, calendars, hosting, from bridal magazines to urban magazines this gorgeous bombshell’s modeling career continued to flourish while escalading her to another level. She intelligently used that as a solid networking ground and networked herself into an elite circle of powerful men and women that could launch her career to the next level without losing herself or without compromising her character in the process. As she caught the attention of two gentlemen at a label they requested a meeting and flew to Houston, TX to meet with Ms. White. As they discussed her vision over a Salt Grass dinner it was inevitable that they thought she was the next big star. They were so impressed not only by her obvious talent and beauty but by her personality that just filled the restaurant like oxygen. Excited about introducing this polished gem they scheduled another meeting with the raspy rapper at the studio of Bad Boy’s Brian Angel from Day 26. Little did she know that would be the time and the place where she would meet the one who would one day end up believing in her like no other and ready to go full throttle with her project. None other than the extremely talented song writer, who’s responsible for working with the likes of Tank, Adina Howard, Tyrese and more, Hersh the Hitmaker. Because he had never heard her for himself at the time of their initial meeting he had no acknowledgement as to how talented she really was and he did something unusual. He went strictly off the word of someone else and referred her to an artist he knew was looking for a female feature. Convincing this artist of how good she was, was not only unusual on his part but very risky considering Hersh had never even heard her. Now that the artist is interested Hersh needed to meet with Diamond White in hopes that she would prove him right. When she got there plans quickly changed when Bad boy’s Brian Angel from Day 26 artist G-Ron unexpectedly stopped by at the same time Hersh was browsing through some “Crazy” produced tracks when one caught their attention. They immediately began nodding their heads in sequence to the beat. Hersh the Hitmaker quickly began writing a hook as he felt the beat and happily sung it in confidence that it was a hit. G-Ron immediately jumped in to spit 16 bars he had already previously written that went perfect with the freshly written hook. Now there was no denying that his original flow and distinctive sound was the answer to the hook and first verse. But now what? The guys silently wondered to themselves how would this little cute as a button, semi-shy, girly girl prove the spectators that claim she is the truth right?! Diamond White quickly got into a zone, grabbed her pen and pad, and began to write. Upon G-Ron’s completion of recording his verse they heard the words “I’m ready.” As the hook was spit and the beat dropped she instantly came out of her shell and became all that hype as she spit a flow that made them yell, jump on the desk and chairs, shout, shake hands, and proclaim man she is a Beast while still only on her first 6 bars. Who knew that spark would light the match that would start the fire? They recorded the song and 3 weeks later Diamond White received a call that she would never forget. That conference call between her, Hersh the Hitmaker, and Michael J. Walker would become the beginning to a movement. Hersh still impressed as though they had just cut the song 5 min. ago said “Diamond I am into R&B I do not even mess with rappers and a female at that but I want to work with you. You have the talent, the look, and you’re a walking network that already has a fan base with no product.
