Jamaican Eclipse is founding member Kenny Youngblood on keyboards and vocals and Steve LaZar, guitar and vocals. Steve played with Radio Blue and currently performs with Jamaican Eclipse, Juba Juba! and Hollow Bones. Steve has opened for Third World, Leftover Salmon, Big Head Todd And The Monsters, and G.E. Smith. We draw on some of the top side men in the front range for bass, drums, and sax, including Chris Harris, bass, one of Denver's premier studio players, Jake Brown, bass, formerly with the Robert Cray Band, Enoch, bass, a stalwart of the Denver reggae sceane, Al Elliott, Bass, Michael Joseph, Drums, of Lion Zion and Irie Still, Eric LaZar, Drums, and Mike Ray, drums.

Jamaican Eclipse has performed in Colorado for over 20 years. We cover the music of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse, Third World, Black Uhuru and UB 40, along with our originals. We were a regular at everyone's favorite old classic reggae club, Jimmey's Grille in Denver, along with Jose Muldoons in Colorado Springs, the famous Paradise Club in Aspen and the Alligator Lounge in Breakenridge (now Sherpa and Yette's). Jamaican Eclipse has been on the same bill as Michael Rose, founder and lead singer of Black Uhuru. Former members of Jamaican Eclipse include Kofi Baker and Malcolm Bruce, sons of rock legends Ginger and Jack from Cream.
