Some people try to hate and say he's an Eminem wannabe or some nonsense like that just because he's white and writes rap music, but in all actuality, Eminem, Cage, ICP, Necro, and artists like that all paved the way for him in this biz; simply prepared you for his insane thoughts. It's not just all insanity, either. These are all thoughts in a head... josh cannabis sativa exists simply for your entertainment, and every once in awhile for your education. That's it. He started writing and recording rap music to be a new way to display his poetry; to get things off his chest; to help people relate with their feelings of anger, depression, love, and/or anything else of which he may speak. He might talk about hate and violence, but none of his music is meant to promote hate or incite violence. Any lyrics posted that give any idea of gratuitous violence is not about promotion of such violence. It's about expressing and sharing thoughts and feelings. josh cannabis sativa does not believe in doing or promoting anything immoral. He's written countless poems since his teen years, and joined school choir in 7th grade. His music started back in 2002 when he met Backwordz, a local rap artist who learned about his singing abilities, and wanted josh to perform a chorus line on one his group's songs. They hit it off, and it was then that josh cannabis sativa started to make his mark on the music industry. He started out just singing chorus lines, but soon gained an interest in putting his own poetry to music; creating his own rap verses. In summer of 2004, he helped Backwordz's group, Vital Hourz, and their independent record label, Spot Blown, with funding to release a compilation album including only 1 song that he was on, called "It's The Sioux". After that, he released his debut solo effort, "Just The Way That It Is" at no cost to a very limited audience with permission to share it freely. All in all, he's written numerous songs, recorded 1 album, have 2 new albums in progress (1 will be a concept album), and performed at multiple shows in the Sioux City area.
