We are big sports fans...especially ACC Basketball - GO DUKE! YES we are Crazies!!! favorite players JJ Redick - can really shoot the Rock and we share our birthday, Sheldon Williams, the Landlord - hope to see him down in Atlanta too, Lee Melchione - Love his passion, can count on him to add some fantastic spirit and shots from downtown! Sean Dockery - will you ever forget that shot at VATECH? Some other favs - Jason Williams - hope he gets back in the game this year, Shane Battier, sorry he was traded to Houston as we were planning on a trip to Memphis; Chris Duhon - steady as you go and doing great in the Bull's Pen; Ewing - often overlooked by some he made a great contribution we loved to watch him come up with the shots; Dante Jones - ANOTHER FIGHTER FOR THE DEVILS! And Nate James...he was just a solid guy! We saw Nate at the Bucknell game at Cameron. So how Crazy are we? Well during the 2005-6 season we: spent New Year's Eve at the Greensboro Col watching DUKE play UNCG, then 2 days later, on our wedding anniversary we were at Cameron Indoor, in the second row, right behind the dreaded possession arrow,(yes dreaded... we agree with Dickie V they should ban it!) watching the Devils beat Bucknell and watching the Cameron Crazies - they were great fun to watch too! After the game when we were all out on the floor, they came up to us and wished us a happy anniversary (we had that on our poster of course). We bid on the tickets on the Duke website and were thrilled when we won the auction and were happy to pay up! It was our anniversary gift to each other. We had always wanted to be there in Cameron, its such a special place. Included was VIP parking right across the street and the Duke Basketball yearbook. We met Dockery and Demarcus on the floor after the game. They were so polite and graciously signed our book. The others players were peeking out of the dressing room door window but didn't come out except Perkins, who had made a great shot in the game. We congratulated him and he thanked us and graciously signed our book too. We met JJ outside Cameron, posing with fans for photographs and signing autographs; yeah we got a signature, but no the picture didn't come out, the flash didn't work, but you can see that's its him, but its in silhouette. He was very polite and when the flash didn't work he said, "well, at least we met". Every mothers dream, I tell ya and boy can he shoot the ROCK. Then.....yes there's more (we are crazies after all) On March 11 and 12 we were back in Greensboro for the ACC Championship semis and final....we sat a few rows behind JJ's family and the Duke bench... we could see right into the huddle with the players and Coach K with the white-board drawing the x's and o's. Ok so we spent a lot of dough on BB this year but you've got to be there, especially when you've got JJ and Sheldon and Dockery and Lee and they have such spirit and they are seniors. Like I said we are crazies. One more...the next weekend we were back in Greensboro for the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA tournament and again watching our Blue Devils. It was great! A dream come true to watch a game in Cameron, meet some of the players and JJ and see them beat Boston to win the ACC again, what a game that was! We hope to be at the Final Four in Atlanta in 2007, although we will likely not be watching Duke. Then we went into BB withdrawal...it is terrible the after madness madness. We had joined Inside Access on Goduke.com and I watched the clips over and over until it was time for our vacation to the Big Sur Coast of California. And that takes me back to our other passion....travel. More on that later...But Big Sur rocks man! Gotta get there some day people and Carmel is great. Go to " The Hogs Breath Inn" (formerly owned by Clint Eastwoods )in Carmel. Great at night in the spring on the terrace round back. No fewer than 5 gas fired outdoor fireplaces and the most amazing mural that makes you feel that you are in a vinyard in the wine country. Really great place! More travel stores later.

We live on Kerr Lake in NC and absolutely love it. We still work in Richmond, Va but we are where we are supposed to be even if we do have to drive 200 miles a day! We love to travel and we have our own online travel agency ***(get info on great travel deals - see our info next to our picture)****. When we are not traveling, we like to hang out with "the usual group" on Dan and Mary's deck next door ..... speaking of which that's where we first heard Jason Michael Carroll - It was a magical night in July 2004, just a few days before he wowed everyone on Gimme the Mike, when Jason and David (a member of the band Steel Kickin' he was with at the time) entertained a small group of happy, lucky people on my next door neighbors' (Dan and Mary's) deck. That night I was converted to country music and have been listening to JMC ever since. We've practically worn out our JMC CD. We really enjoy those special nights seeing JMC in Bunn at "Top of the Hill" and in Richmond at Canal Club and Petersburg at Outlaws and The Longbranch in Raleigh. We are always happy to hear JMC on the radio!! We listen to QDR and K95 when we are in Richmond and the other stations in between US98.3 and Bobcat Radio and call and email them all about Jason's hit Alyssa Lies. We are overjoyed Country Radio has discovered the shinning star that is in their midst, Jason Michael Carroll. We listen to GAC and CMT all the time and another fav artist is - Keith Urban, hot GuitarMAN ...this August we went to the Crawford County fair in PA to see Keith, Little Big Town, Brooks and Dunn and Sugarland, and we saw JMC at The Albemarle County fair on Aug 5 and then at The Rally in Raleigh in September. Next up Thanksgiving Saturday at the Longbranch a double Thanksgiving Celebration_______________________ And while we are on the subject we miss "Top of the Hill"...Buck Smith is a great host...White hat or black hat tonite Buck? One Friday night we got home a little late from work. I went to turn on the light in the sunroom which faces the lake and is viewable from Dan and Mary's deck. The phone rings and the caller says in a thick southern comfort(or was that a crown royal?) accent..."M'aam your cow's in my garden." I answer..."But that can't be I don't have a cow"....and he says "That's awwwlright, I don't have a cow either"......and I hear voices and laughter in the background. you gotta laugh! Yes we love it at the lake and the people there make it an extra special place to come home to!_____________________________________________________________Some our other favorite people: First, our family - is just the best! - Our friends in Richmond, where we used to live - Our neighbors at the lake - wonderful friends and we have such a kickin' good time! - - JJ Redick, Best Shooter :) & we have the same birthday - Dickie V, love it when he calls the game - we met him down at the Broken Egg in Siesta Key, a really nice guy! More sports favs under 3interests.
