kokane's prolific career started with the godfather of gangsta rap himself Eazy E.After eazy discovered kokane by way of his cousin Cold 187 of supergroup Above the law,eric quickly signed kokane to a recording contract.With eric's supreme eye n ear for recognizing raw talent,as done with Ice cube,Above the law,Bone thugs n harmony,michelle'e,Black eye peas,D.O.C and the formation of megagroup NWA.Eazy E kept Kokane close by his side,he relaesd his first album under the moniker Who Am I?This album is an underground gem that few hiphop heads recognized as kokane's work due his name not being on the cover.The reason for this was negative media exposure at the time of the krack epidemic in the late 80s.So eazy being the musical genius he was decided to hide the artist name with the album title Who am I? Beleive me if you find this album ,you must grab it because it is pure dopeness in the flyest form.Kokane then relaesed his second album on Ruthless records, Funk upon a rhyme.By now Kokane's name was more familiar and acceptable to the public and the media.This album revealed Kokane as the funkateer he was and was noted as a hiphop klassic soon after its release.Again pure dope in another form.although Kokane didnt reach platinum status with his own releases he was part of several multi platinum releases from other artist he has worked with.After the passing of Eric Eazy Wright(R.I.P)Kokane went on to scotti bros. records to release for ryders only and this is for the E.He then joined forces with Snoop Dogg and recieved worldwide recognition by doing over 30 songs on snoops albums The last meal,Paid the cost 2 be the boss and all three of the eastsidaz multi platinum releases.kokane was also featured on Dr Dre's mega klassic cronic 2001. Kokanes latest work has been on Ice cube's latest release laugh now cry later. Kokane has since moved on independently releasing 2 more solo albums titled Dr jekyll n Mr Kane and Mr kane part 2.He is currently negotiating a deal with G-Unit records,he has done work with G unit members Tony Yayo and Young buck and 50 is looking foward to finalizing the deal with kokane to get this westcoast hook singer/rapper under the G -unit label.stay on the lookout for kokane's future projects because like his name states,he's puredopeness!!!!
