AM Radio station licenced in Toppenish, WA. Ownded and operated by the Yakama Nation in central Washington state. KYNR AM 1490 can be heard from as far south as Prosser and as far north as Ellensburg, WA. Serving the entire population of the Yakama reservation KYNR plays a variety of programming from traditional to contemporary Native American music to 60's 70's 80's and todays best music. KYNR also has shows available for specific genres one hour a week every Monday through Friday. Monday 4:00- 5:00- "Remember When" with Reggie George and Ryan Craig is an oldies show with the best music and facts with artist info from the 50's 60's and even some 70's. Tuesday 4:00-5:00 Native American Pow Wow music from all over Indian Country. Wednesday 4:00 - 5:00 "Native Rock and Blues Hour" with Reggie George. Hear the best in Native Rock and Blues with alot coming out of the Northwest region. Thursday 4:00-5:00 "Double Love Show" Back to back songs of the same title by different artists. Reggie came up with this show on accident but it's interesting and fun to hear. Friday 4:00- 5:00 "the Native Hip Hop Hour" Ryan Craig plays the best in Native Hip Hop from all over the U.S. and Canada with special guest interviews and underground rap you'll hear nowhere else. Special guest featured have been Supaman, JSK, Sean One, Windreamer and more.
