  • Bio

Linda Bunting is a singer/songwriter from Kennett Square, Pa. She plays guitar and piano and has sung in many different groups over the years. She writes secular, contemporary christian, and children's songs and recently finished her debut CD entitled, "Phoenix or Bust". This CD features 12 of her heartfelt originals, ranging from funky/rock bluesy jam songs to beautiful ballads. She and her lead guitarist Todd Watson have been working on her next project, a contemporary christian CD entitled, "Walking on Sacred Ground" which should be released in 2008. Linda also has written all of the songs for another secular CD which she will begin in 2008. In between adult projects, she has had success writing children's music for Makin' Music (which has won more awards than any other children's music program in the country) and plans to record a CD of her children's songs in the next year or so as well. Todd Watson is an extraordinary guitar player (and human being) from Port Deposit, MD. He approached Linda after she performed in a show (in Feb. 2006) and said he wanted to work with her and they have been making music together ever since. He has played lead guitar for many different bands over the years, and is excellent at choosing signature licks and complimentary guitar parts to whatever style music he's accompanying. Todd is not "show-boaty" although he has much to boast about. In addition to working with Linda, Todd is part of a praise team in Rising Sun, MD. :Frank Milewski was very instrumental (pun intended) in the recording of Linda's debut CD "Phoenix or Bust". Many of the arrangements and recordings themselves took place in Frank's home studio, Flat 9 Studio, in Kennett Square, Pa. Frank has a great style of lead guitar and was in the BZB (Butch Zito Band) with Linda over the years. He is fun and a great friend in addition to being a great musician. Marc Moss is a master musician, technician, and arranger and his brilliance can be heard on Linda's "Phoenix or Bust" CD. Although none of Linda's tracks were recorded completely with Marc, he took bits and pieces (some sour lemons really) and made tasty lemonade out of them. He has such a great ear for what a song calls for and then can play almost all of the parts himself, almost instantly. He's just amazing! Ray Sowiak is a fantastic bass player from Bucks County, Pa. He has a knack for finding the choice bass parts for songs, but never plays them the same way twice. He is fresh and interesting as a result and yet doesn't lose the "meat and potatoes" consistency that a good bass player needs to have to provide a solid base for the song. Ray can play along with almost any style and is easy going enough to get along with almost anyone! Butch Zito has known Linda for almost 20 years now. Their friendship was always centered around music and began when Linda auditioned for his band as a teenager. She needed a fake ID just to sing in the clubs they played in. Linda wanted Butch to be a part of her debut CD and he was kind enough to record the lead vocals, guitar, and mandolin on "Sweet Angeline" (a song Dennis Cornette wrote for Linda -- who now share a daughter named Angeline). Last year Butch was nominated for best singer/songwriter as well as best male performer in the Wilm. area. He's da best! Brad Riesau and Christian Salcedo are both members of the Porch Chops (a great giggin' band) and have been friends of mine for years. Their talents are both utilized on "Sweet Angeline" which is track 10 on Linda's "Phoenix or Bust" CD. Chris Cotter, Adam Cotter, and Colin McGetrick lend their artistry on track 1 of "Phoenix or Bust" on a song called "Touch". They are all in a West Chester, Pa based band called "Tribe Sound" and Chris is the engineer of a recording studio by the same name.
