AXXIS- Guitarist, Marco Wriedt started to get serious interest about Music at the age of 7 when his dad bought him a couple of Classic Rock albums... After listening to Legends like Steve Morse, Brian May, David Gilmore, Al Di Meola,Steve Lukather,Mark Tremonti, Joe Perry and Steve Howe, Marco realized that the Guitar would be his chosen instrument. When Marco turned 10, He and His dad went to a Live Concert and that evening changed Marcos life forever. From there on he started to take lessons from different kind of teachers (Rock/Pop/Metal/Jazz/Blues) to get an open wide musical horizon and a very diverse style. Some of his influences are: The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Genesis, Return To Forever, Meat Loaf, Queen, Aerosmith,Megadeth,Creed, Earth Wind and Fire, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Prince,Santana, Coldplay, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Doors. In his teens, Marco played in several Local Bands And practiced every day after coming home from school... When he turned 19 , Marco went on European Tour with the Band "Time" as support act of "Jeff Scott Soto". After recording an E.P with four songs Marco left the Band and started to study Music at a Music-school in Cologne/Germany. In summer 2006 he went on tour with Los Angeles based recording artist "Daize Shayne". The Band played some big festivals all over Europe with Sting and Glenn Hughes... Since January 2007, Marco is the Guitar player of the Melodic-Heavy/Rock Band "AXXIS" and the first thing he did was to record the 2007 album "Doom of Destiny" which was released worldwide on November 16th. 2007 via AFM-Records... After that, the Band went on a 2 1/2 Month European-Tour... Early 2009, Marco finished recording Guitar Tracks and backing vocals for the current AXXIS Album "UTOPIA" which was released on August, 28th 2009 again via AFM-Records. The Album entered the german Mainstream Charts on No.40 Besides AXXIS, Marco is also doing Session work for other artists. Stay tuned for more

Marco Wriedt started playing guitar and took first lessons at the age of 10. After playing in school bands as a teenager, he became a professional musician at only 19 years of age when going on tour with Jeff Scott Soto (Ex-Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen) and the Los Angeles based, two-time surf world-champion Pop singer Daize Shayne. In 2007, he reached the next step in joining the legendary Rock band AXXIS. Marco played all over Europe with AXXIS, including shows at high-profile Rock and Metal festivals such as Wacken, Masters of Rock, Rock Of Ages, Loreley or the Metalway Festival. Up to now, he has recorded two Albums with AXXIS – Doom Of Destiny and Utopia. The latter reached the German charts at position no. 36. Marco Wriedt was featured in major guitar magazines (Guitar and Gitarre & Bass) and was invited to play at the “Ronnie James Dio Tribute Show” in summer 2010, where he played alongside major artists such as Axel Rudi Pell, Doro and Doggie White, among others. In February 2011, he played four shows with Rock Legends PINK CREAM 69 on their Tour with HELLLOWEEN & STRATOVARIUS. Ever since his childhood he has liked diverse musical styles and artists. Some of his influences are Queen, Genesis, Brian Eno,Pink Floyd,Dream Theater, The Eagles,Chopin, Strawinski and musicals. His goal as a guitar player is to combine a melodic soulfoul playing style with a diverse technique. ........
