Megadeth is offering a download of the song "Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)", from their forthcoming albumTH1RT3EN, absolutely free on their Facebook page.
Today, Megadeth is reissuing their 1986 thrash metal classic, Peace Sells
. . . But Who's Buying?, in several different configurations. Then, in
November, the band will release an all-new studio album, TH1RT3EN – the
title is a nod to its being the band's 13th studio release overall, and
singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine's birthday on September 13th.
The group is also touring this summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink
Mayhem Festival and playing a show at Yankee Stadium with the Big 4 (Metallica,
Slayer, and Anthrax) on September 14th.
Rolling Stone spoke with Mustaine about the new album and the
reissue – and revisited the band's difficult past.
Megadeth's vital, Platinum-certified album, "Peace Sells… But Who's Buying?", has been digitally remastered for the first time and expanded for a commemorative 25th Anniversary release in multiple configurations by Capitol/EMI. All of the versions, including a 2CD set, digital album, and a deluxe 5Disc+3LP box set, include a previously unreleased 1987 concert from the band's first world tour and new liner notes written by Dave Mustaine and Metallica's Lars Ulrich. The deluxe box set also includes previously unreleased and rare mixes of the album's tracks and hi res audio for the remastered album and concert, as well as an expanded 20-page book, plus 8"x10" photos and reproductions of vintage Megadeth memorabilia.
