  • Miranda's New Video For "Only Prettier" To Premiere On VEVO August 3rd!

After sitting pretty on the country charts with her record breaking four-week #1 single, “The House That Built Me,” Miranda Lambert is laying on the southern charm with her sassy anthem and new single, “Only Prettier.” The video for this tongue-in-cheek commentary about mean-girl cattiness will make its world premiere on VEVO August 3rd at 12AM ET with a 48 hour exclusive. The “Only Prettier” video will be available on all media outlets beginning August 5.

The “Only Prettier” video will be available across the VEVO platform, which includes VEVO.com, VEVO on YouTube and the destinations where VEVO powers music video such as AOL and CBS Interactive Music Group’s sites.

Directed by Trey Fanjoy, the video was shot against a 1950’s rockabilly backdrop at a middle school gymnasium in Joelton, TN. Lambert asked friends Kellie Pickler, Laura Bell Bundy and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott to join her in a mini-movie as two rival cliques of girls attend a high school sock hop.

“Only Prettier” is the fourth release from her critically acclaimed third album, Revolution, and follows her four-week #1 “House That Built Me,” as well as her first career #1 single “White Liar.”

This fall Lambert is headlining “CMT On Tour: Miranda Lambert REVOLUTION.” The nationwide tour which crosses 28 cities and includes special guests Eric Church and Josh Kelley will kick off on the one-year anniversary of the release of her album Revolution on September 29 in New York City.

SPECIAL GUEST ERIC CHURCH AND INTRODUCING JOSH KELLEY

Following a year full of impressive accolades and her first ever headlining tour, Texas singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert is prepared to hit the road again this fall as the headlining act for CMT ON TOUR: MIRANDA LAMBERT REVOLUTION announced today by CMT. When Lambert won top female honors for both the ACM and CMT Awards earlier this year, her first reaction was “shock” followed by gratefulness. It wasn’t until she hit the road again on her first headlining tour that the gravity of her astounding accomplishments hit home and an overwhelming sense of responsibility set in. That responsibility to deliver a live show even better than she was already known for is what fans will witness as Lambert headlines CMT’s ninth annual tour.

The nationwide tour includes special guest Eric Church and introducing Josh Kelley kicks off in New York on September 29, and will cross 28 cities. Produced by AEG Live, previous CMT Tours have featured such superstars as Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Keith Urban.

“Having that Texas club circuit experience at an early age and also touring with some of the best in the business for several years, I know what it takes to bring it every night and give fans more than their money’s worth,” says Lambert. “The CMT Tour is a great way for me to thank fans for their support this year and show them I can live up to the honors.”

Church added, “I'm very excited to be on what I believe will be one of the best tours going out this fall. I've been on a lot of tours and this one is gonna be the heat! I love what Miranda does and we are gonna take the stage every night locked and cocked. The crowd better be ready for it, cause we are!”

  • Miranda Lambert's Revolution Rolls On with "Only Prettier"

On the boot heels of her four week, number one single “The House That Built Me,” Miranda Lambert is ready to slather on the Southern charm with, “Only Prettier,” the new single from her ACM Album of the Year, Revolution. The single, which shipped to radio Monday was written by Lambert and fellow conspirator Natalie Hemby.

Of the song, Lambert says, “To me, ‘Only Prettier,’ is an anthem, it’s my own anthem, and I want girls to have their fists in the air singing ‘Only Prettier.’  It’s antagonistic, in a fun way and I loved the attitude behind it. It kind of fools you, because it’s got this really country, laid-back intro, but then it’s balls to the wall the rest of the way. It’s so much fun!”
In addition to the song being fun, the music video will add fun element as well. Shot on location in Joelton, Tennessee a few days ago, Lambert asked a few of her only prettier girlfriends including Kellie Pickler, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum and Laura Bell Bundy to join her. While the particulars of the video are being kept under wraps, Lambert and friends pretty-up as both “socials” and “greasers”  as two rival cliques of girls  attend a high school sock hop.

Three-time GRAMMY® nominee, platinum-selling recording artist and hit singer/songwriter Miranda Lambert recently added her first CMT Award to an already impressive list of accolades she’s received this year.  The fan-voted CMT Award for Female Video of the Year joins Miranda’s recent ACM wins for Album of the Year (Revolution), Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year (White Liar).  Her current single, "The House That Built Me," has held the Number 1 position for 4 straight weeks. It follows “White Liar” which was Miranda’s first career No.1 single.

Revolution, her critically-acclaimed third album, has quickly surpassed the Gold sales mark after debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Album Charts making her one of four artists in country music history whose first three albums landed the top position right out of the box.  It received rare perfect reviews from countless publications including four stars from Rolling Stone and USA Today, an 'A' from Entertainment Weekly and exuberant praise from the New York Times, SPIN, the Washington Post and more.  Many have proclaimed Revolution the "Best Album of the Year" in any genre including the Houston Chronicle and NPR's All Things Considered.

In 2008, Miranda Lambert first won the coveted ACM Album of the Year and in 2007 the ACM Best New Female Award.

She recently wrapped up her own "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" headlining tour and will be joining the Lilith Fair tour this summer. For more information, visit www.MirandaLambert.com
