    The songs of Silverbird fill the full range in-between Singer/Songwriter and Rock, from melodic ballads up to stirring up-tempo songs. Catchy melodies, expressive power and emotional depth are signature features of the band. The lyrics are about dreams, big emotions, about dayly struggle and longings and tell stories from the journey through life. 2009 initially the EP "Fly Into The Light" and then the Single "Too Late" was released by the record label Zebaralution. At this moment Silverbird was a solo project of me (Otto Steiner). The recordings were made in collaboration with studio- and guest musicians (David Fixx - drums + keyboards, Igor Schiele - bass, Andy Buck - background vocals) and were presented by different radio stations. So I... took to the road and was looking for spirit brothers I could present the songs live with a new livery and continue this project with. Unexpectedly I found old friends on the way and so finally the band was complete in Autumn 2011 in its current band lineup. We go back a long way from previous bands were one or another played together and so we are a sworn fellowship: A great basis for coming deeds. Now the journey continues with a new album. From end of February 2012 we are in the recording studio and gonna record up to 12 new songs :-) ******************************************************************** Die Songs von Silverbird füllen die ganze Bandbreite von Singer/Songwriter bis Rock aus, von melodischen Balladen bis hin zu mitreißenden Up-Tempo-Nummern. Eingängige Melodien, Ausdruckskraft und emotionale Tiefe sind Markenzeichen der Band. Die Lyrics handeln von Träumen, großen Gefühlen, vom alltäglichen Kampf und von Sehnsüchten und erzählen Geschichten von der Reise durch das Leben. 2009 wurde zunächst die EP "Fly Into The Light" und danach die Single "Too Late" beim Label Zebralution veröffentlicht. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war Silverbird noch ein Soloprojekt von mir (Otto Steiner). Die Aufnahmen entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit Studio- und Gastmusikern (David Fixx - Schlagzeug + Keyboards, Igor Schiele - Bass, Andy Buck - Background vocals) und wurden u. a. bei Radio 7 vorgestellt. So begab ich mich auf die Reise und suchte nach seelenverwandten Musikern, mit denen ich zusammen die Songs in neuem Gewand live präsentieren und das Projekt weiterführen könnte. Unterwegs fand ich unerwarteter Weise alte Freunde wieder und so wurde Herbst 2011 die Band endlich in der aktuellen Besetzung komplett. Wir kennen uns alle von früheren Bandprojekten, in denen der Ein oder Andere bereits zusammen aktiv war und bilden eine verschworene Gemeinschaft: Die besten Voraussetzungen also für kommende Taten. Die Reise geht nun weiter mit einem neuen Album. Ab Ende Februar 2012 sind wir im Studio und werden bis zu 12 neue Songs aufnehmen :-)
