Hello I was looking at an Ebony magazine when I came across a picture of Nina Mae McKinney so I decided to look her up and came across your page. I had found some trivia about her that I'm sure you have came across since there is so little about her but I think it would be a nice gesture to mention it somewhere on your page.
Since Nina was consider one of the first sex goddesses in black culture but never could cross over into white culture like Lena Horne did in 1942, I thought it was sad that Nina was going to star in "The Duke is Tops" as Ethel Andrews, but she became sick while in Australia performing, and the role was given to Lena Horne and that movie made her a star.
