My next adventure that I want to do is to start learning how to record vocal and instrumental tracks. It is a whole new world out there for me to explore and learn; and I'm up to the challenge! It will take me a long time; years to figure it out since I will be researching the process and learning it on my own. I'm sure that once I learn the technical terms and the command buttons, I'll be able to create something very rough and simple and then build from there. I expect to still be writing songs and collaborating with some of my music friends, but in the meantime, this new endeavor will keep me busy, productive and, most importantly, I hope to have 'fun' with it!!
I am not a fan of the new MySpace format!! However, I will continue to check my messages and say hello to my friends, but other than that, it has become a desolate place since the new format page came into existence. Take care! Cathy
I am thankful for my children and I hope and pray for the best for them. I am thankful to be living in this generation for all of the comforts we have at our disposal. I am thankful to those folks who have supported me and cheered for me when I needed it most. I am thankful that I have my health and can do things for myself. I am thankful for the gifts that I have and for the inspiration that I have when I write my songs. I am thankful for the folks who have let my cry on their shoulders and have let me jump for joy over small victories. I hope that I do not forget those who have been there for me; that without them I would still be at the starting line.
I am thankful to the Lord above for His provisions and for the salvation of my life and soul.
Hello Folks - Well, it's been a couple of years since I've created an account here and I've made some great friends. I also get to listen to some great music by my favorite artists and leave some comments. I know the major artists just can't respond, but I still like to leave a comment just the same.
I am happy to also listen to music by those lesser known artists who have just as much passion for music as the major artists. Recently, my friend Amber Rose sang one of my songs and I am so very pleased with her vocal performance on that. She makes the song shine....!! Thanks Amber. Robert Baitanger has been a long time friend and we have lots of fun together when it comes to music. Whatever we are doing; corresponding through email, creating or sharing songs, it's always a great time with him. I consider him to be a creative partner and anchor in this buisness. He has been there for me in so many ways, and I'll always be appreciative of his time and talents.
Two other creative partners need to be included here, and they are, Ray Bertram and Donovan Plant. We (along with Robert B.), produced, 'On A Cold Chicago Day', and it was a project that I'll always treasure and I was encouraged to sing the vocal (female) part as it was a duet. I'm OK with it; some folks like it too, so, I'm glad I took a chance. Another wonderful artist is Vince Dennimark, he sings a lot of cover songs and originals as well. On of the songs he sings it titled, 'All The Time In The World'. Love it!!! If I recall, I believe Robert Baitanger wrote that or did the music, can't remember.
Veronica Ballestrini is also a favorite artist of mine and I love seeing her perform and I am so blessed to be able to!! You can read about Veronica on one of my blogs and visit her site too.
I'd also like to mention the other songwriters and artist friends who I have made friends with; Suzi Oravec. Suzi is currently putting a CD together. She has a very nice energy and vibe and she eats, drinks and sleeps music. She is non-stop and won't stop until she has reached her goal. Go Suzi!!!
Thanks to Della Hogston, Stacy Spalding, Teresa Hull and others who have taken the time to say hello on my page. Thank you MySpace team for answering some of my questions and for providing a place for me to share my music. I may never get my songs published or recorded, but at least I can say, I had fun while tring to do so!!
