Spring Park Motel is the creation of Dan Atrill (ex Melancholiacs) on vocals and guitars and Mike Hughes (ex Goldwing) on bass, acoustic guitar and vocals with Jasmine Ali on keyboards / vocals and Les Churchill on drums.

Over the past year Spring Park Motel have played nearly 30 gigs, all in London. We've been lucky enough to have played Come Down And Meet The Folks, Honky Tonkin' Sunday and What's Cookin'. For Turning Worm we played a number of dates at the World's End and The Enterprise in Camden and we started 2010 at The Glad in Borough, SE1. Besides playing other people's venues we have developed our own monthly event, The Monthly Consitutional hosting local talent from across North London, engineered by the legendary Roger Humphries and featuring bands like Easter Sun, Them Changes and psych blues guitarist Simon Onions.

Besides gigging Duke and Otis have been writing the history of Spring Park in the Motel Chronicles and the band will be releasing a CD in 2010.

Or as we like to think of it...

4 boys with rock'n'moonshine in their dungarees played the opening night at Hockey Mom's Rock'n'Rib Shack, Spring Park, October 08, supporting a Sarah Palin wet t-shirt look alike contest and Bear Shoot.

They drink whiskey, sing about hookers, shoot guns and eat steak for breakfast. One of them writes poetry in raccoon's blood and it's rumoured that some of them are cousins. Spring Park was never the same after these boys drove into town.
