Welcome to the official My Space page of Squatch20, a cool new artist that composes ,produces and plays everything in his amazing tracks, ranging from Trance, Alternative, to even Post Punk guitar sounds . Squatch20, aka Pepe Digital, aka Likido, started to play music at a young age , influenced by his grandfather's trumpet playing in big bands, and his dad's extensive record collection of disco,soul and r/b vynil. When he picked up his first electric guitar in a pawnshop in New Orleans ,he inmediatly fell in love with it all and soon was playing in bands at house parties , and then in clubs and festivals all around, and as his skills developed he found himself recording demos at profesional studios that sold well , and made the underground fanzine scene all around the world!.The songs were crafted in an alternative sound that recalled bands like Ministry and NIN, and even heavier stuff,but he was always fascinated with more electronic, dance records that he heard at raves and clubs, and wanted to learn the art of producing these styles.So when the band broke up, he soon found himself a job as a sound recording assistant with hip hop trio (at that time) Control Machete, where he learned about sampler production and digital recording software,and got a great kick of education by watching and working with their producer, Jason Roberts (Producer of bands like Cypress Hill and House of Pain, among many others).SQ20 spent some time there and got to work with them on remixes for Plastilina Mosh, and Cafe Tacva.He also did other unsigned bands as well, but in the spare time he had he was coming up with his own stuff. He eventually left the studio and started to produce his own material , that he played at gigs where he Djed, getting a good response from the crowds.The new music is inspired by travels, movies ,history, and life experiences, and can be enjoyed while you are dancing, chilling or taking a road trip anywhere in the world.There are tracks that are full blown trance, techno influenced stuff, punk guitar jams and he even produced an animated video for a New Wave inspired song that you can check out at You tube under squatch 20//theme from Ocean City ep.1 .Enjoy
