    2009/10 season - West Stand Block V .. Coca Cola League One season is all but over, sigh!, sadly we find ourselves just missing out on the playoffs, Oh well . Come on you Bluessssss ..

    Southend United have at long last got full planning approval from the Secretary of State to develop their new stadium at Fossetts Farm, Yeahhhhhhhh .. Exciting times ahead, I hope! ..

    Oh, just for the record .. Like most men obsessed with football, we all follow a team from the Premiership, I just happen to follow Chelsea! ..

    Also, I am a keen walker with an interest in Natural History within the immediate area. I like to travel, locally, in Essex and further afield. I am very proud of the UK's heritage and stunning coastline. As you can imagine I spend much of my spare time in the UK as opposed to sunning myself / touring in europe and beyond! I have a real passion for North Wales, stunning scenery, love the accent and the people are so welcoming ..

    I's a huge film fan, you will regularly catch me at the cinema, not sooooooooo keen on the popcorn thou!! Ha!..

    I am a collector of Seal ornamants!! which stems from my passion for seals / seal watching both locally in Southend, yes, really! / Burnham on Crouch and further afield ..

    I have not mentioned this before but I am also fascinated by the history / heritage of the Thames Sailing Barge .. to see them in full sail on the Thames Estuary in a prevailing wind is a memorable sight ..

    I am often asked if I have any pets / what is my favourite pet! .. well .. simply, I love cats!! .. I have had cats in my life as far back as I can remember. I also have some great memories of my pets from the past that I will always treasure. I very much hope, in my next life, I come back as a tabby cat .. just purrrrrrfect!!

    I am also very much a collector of books relating to the history / heritage of my home village, Great Wakering and that of Southend on Sea ..

    I have been hugely inspired by a book that I hope is familiar to you, if not, I urge you to read it soonest! .. Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a story by Richard Bach ..

  • Heroes

    No one in particular .. although I would REALLY like to meet Gillian Anderson / Jennifer Connelly, Hmmmmm .. It's a long story!! .. Ha! ..

    Music is a very important part of my life .. As a result, I have the utmost respect for Edgar Froese (Tangerine Dream) / Iva Davies (Icehouse) / Mark Hollis (Talk Talk) ..

    But, more importantly, I have nothing but admiration for the heroism and dedication of the men/women serving with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) ..

    I would also like to acknowledge the outstanding care and dedication offered by care workers / nurses who work with the elderly, especially those effected by mental disorders / dementia ..

    Finally .. to the memory of my father who sadly passed away in October 2008 .. and .. to my mother who passed away in February 1994 .. Laid to rest, together forever, in our local cemetary .. God Bless and watch over you both ..
