Blending the song-writing ability of the Beatles with the energy of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the improvisational flair of Phish, and a little bit of something you’ve never heard before, The Ingredients know what music is all about: providing an electrifying stage performance of high energy rock ‘n’ roll and infectious dance music. Having spent 7 years honing their craft while living in both Newtown, Pennsylvania and Ithaca, New York, the Ingredients have perfected the art of having fun and taking the audience along with them. Fans describe The Ingredients’ music as a blend of hard rock, funk and reggae. Bands in this category tend to get bogged down by self-indulgent jamming and pretentious lyrics. The Ingredients up the ante by not taking themselves too seriously. They exist solely to entertain their loyal following and get better at what they do. Shows always involve audience participation and coordinated dance-moves, and frequently include guest artists such as Symphony, a Rochester based rapper and Madhava Hansen of the Neighbours.
