    thanks for taking me to work today, stuart. your music lays the soundrack to my life, buoys my spirits, and sometimes offers me a premonition - like a few days ago . . . .♥  

    i had an encounter a few blocks from my office, with a disabled vet who was panhandling at a stoplight. it was like "6th avenue heartache" meets "intersection." i gave him a dollar and a bottle of water, and i told him not to give up on the system that had turned him out onto the streets. when i went back the next day, he was gone without a trace. i never got his name, but he broke my heart all the same. did you ever see love that makes you cry? it only happens at the intersection.
