Ex­pe­ri­ence Hen­drix Tour takes part of its in­spi­ra­tion from Ji­mi Hen­drix's de­sire to bring to­geth­er en­sem­ble casts of mu­si­cians with a wide va­ri­ety of back­grounds, in what he dubbed "The Elec­tric Church." This con­cept is per­haps best ex­em­pli­fied when Hen­drix gath­ered a group of mu­si­cians for Wood­stock in Au­gust 1969, tak­ing to the stage as the new­ly named, Gyp­sy Sun & Rain­bows. In re­cent years, Ex­pe­ri­ence Hen­drix Tour has brought to­geth­er a num­ber of dif­fer­ent artists, both young and old, to cel­e­brate the mu­sic of Ji­mi Hen­drix. Our new Ji­mi Hen­drix We­bisode se­ries will bring fans clos­er to those who have per­formed with the tour.
