Vitreus es un proyecto musical que comienza sus andadas en el año 1998 como mero entretenimiento y diversión. .. .. Tras cuatro años de letargo se retoma y se empieza con la grabación del que es ahora el primer trabajo musical de la banda, "No shadows without light", en Agosto de 2004. .. .. Varias circunstancias musicales y personales hacen que dicho trabajo no vea la luz hasta Febrero de 2009. .. .. Esta grabación cuenta en su formación con José Antonio Olba al bajo, Eduardo Aparici (..Guilles de Rais..) a la batería, y Eloy Ruiz como vocalista, compositor principal y resto de instrumentos. .. .. Los seis cortes del disco son totalmente autoproducidos, corriendo la grabación, mezcla, masterización y producción a cargo de Eloy Ruiz. .. .. Cada uno de ellos se podría clasificar dentro de un estilo del metal distinto, yendo desde pasajes góticos hasta derroteros más oscuros y extremos, todo ello impregnado siempre de melodía y elementos sinfónicos, lo que hace que se trate de un trabajo muy heterogéneo y de fácil escucha. .. .. Esta diversidad y extremismo estilístico no hace más que reflejar el espíritu de contradicción y antagonismo que sugiere el título del álbum, y que se ve enfatizado por el diseño gráfico a cargo de Chema Mengíbar. .. .. Vitreus :: Biografía

Vitreus es un proyecto musical que comienza sus andadas en el año 1998 como mero entretenimiento y diversión.

Tras cuatro años de letargo se retoma y se empieza con la grabación del que es ahora el primer trabajo musical de la banda, "No shadows without light", en Agosto de 2004.

Varias circunstancias musicales y personales hacen que dicho trabajo no vea la luz hasta Febrero de 2009.

Esta grabación cuenta en su formación con José Antonio Olba al bajo, Eduardo Aparici (Guilles de Rais) a la batería, y Eloy Ruiz como vocalista, compositor principal y resto de instrumentos.

Los seis cortes del disco son totalmente autoproducidos, corriendo la grabación, mezcla, masterización y producción a cargo de Eloy Ruiz.

Cada uno de ellos se podría clasificar dentro de un estilo del metal distinto, yendo desde pasajes góticos hasta derroteros más oscuros y extremos, todo ello impregnado siempre de melodía y elementos sinfónicos, lo que hace que se trate de un trabajo muy heterogéneo y de fácil escucha.

Esta diversidad y extremismo estilístico no hace más que reflejar el espíritu de contradicción y antagonismo que sugiere el título del álbum, y que se ve enfatizado por el diseño gráfico a cargo de Chema Mengíbar.

Actualmente la banda se encuentra realizando conciertos de presentación.

 

Vitreus :: Biography

Vitreus is a musical project that began in the 1998 being merely conceived as means of having fun and entertainment.

After four years of lethargy it was token up again and the recording of the nowadays first musical work, “No shadows without light”, started in August 2004.

Some musical and personal circumstancies delayed the release to Febraury 2009.

For this recording the formation counts with José Antonio Olba on the bass, Eduardo Aparici (Guilles de Rais) on the drums, and Eloy Ruiz as vocalist, main composer and rest of the instruments.

The six tracks are totally self-produced, being Eloy Ruiz responsible for the recording, mixing, mastering and production.

Each of them can be classified in a different metal style, travelling from gothic passages to darker and more extreme influences, always wrapped in melody and symphonic elements, which makes of it a very heterogeneous and easy listening work.

This stylistic diversity and extremism reflects the antagonist and contradictory spirit suggested by the album's title, enphasized by Chema Mengíbar's artwork.

At present the band is making presentation concerts.
