The Roots will release a new album on December 6. The group, who act as the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, have titled the disc undun and announced that it will be their first conceptual full-length album.

Justin Timberlake is just one of many celebrities who paid tribute to Indy racer Dan Wheldon, who was killed on Sunday during a 15-car accident at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Wheldon’s car was sponsored by TImberlake’s clothing line William Rast and the two were reportedly on friendly terms.

Two decades after they exploded out of Chicago with a thrashing brand of alt-rock that helped define the slacker-driven 90’s sound, the Smashing Pumpkins are finally getting the deluxe reissue treatment. The band’s first two albums– 1991’s Gish and 1993’s legendary Siamese Dream– will be re-released in grand form on November 29: each respective album will be jam-packed with goodies including deluxe 2CD/DVD’s, vinyl LP’s and digital audio quality tracks. For this release, founding member– and the only one to still be playing under the Pumpkins’ moniker– Billy Corgan took the painstaking efforts of helping remaster the master tapes from these album’s original sessions.
