    Willie Nash has just recently made the move down to Nashville, following his dream that began long before he started singing in the 4th grade. Join him on his journey, it is well worth the ride! From the time of childhood, sitting around with his dad listening to well worn vinyl recordings by the outlaws of country music, or being entertained for hours by his dad’s cousin Bill who was tearing up the local pubs with his guitar, Willie was drawn into the heart and soul of the country sound. At such a tender age when “country wasn’t cool,” Willie kept his passion for the music to himself, a “closet fan” if you will, and began developing his vocal talent under direction of vocal teacher Kathy Kane of the Wyandotte Youth Choir. Moving into middle school meant leaving that choir behind, but allowed him to focus his attention on the guitar, and the never give up attitude soon had him playing and singing non stop. He began doing local acoustic shows at a local coffee house called The Grind, a definite plus for taking the edge off the nervousness of playing in front of strangers. With the encouragement of close friends, he recorded a 2 track cd, titled, I Can, and soon became a regular in local bars doing cover tunes and his own music capturing the hearts of fans young and old. The success of I Can, prompted him more than ever to want to record and sing country music for a living. Knowing this, and knowing Nashville was the place to do it, and with raw passion and determination, he succeeded in recording I’m Still Running. The sound and quality of this cd hardly comes across as anything but a top-notch, professional recording. And tweaking the last track on the cd, which is a remake of his idol Bob Seger’s, Turn the Page with country flare, finished it off perfectly. This album has helped define him as an artist and major voice of country music in his hometown and surrounding area. The dream is just beginning, come on and be a part of it, you won’t regret it for a second!
